Program Manager/Program Governance (VP/SVP)
About this position
The Program Manager/Program Governance (VP/SVP) is responsible for driving, directing, and overseeing the management and delivery of individual projects under the program, ensuring effective transformation and change management.
Responsibilities
• To drive, direct, govern, oversee, and act as the escalation point for the management, design, execution, and delivery of the individual projects under the program
• To manage the overall program scope, schedule, cost, business, resources, stakeholders – business and IT, management and working teams; and risks and issues
• To drive the transformation and change management of how the program is executed and delivered, from the traditional development life cycle to the agile way of thinking and working, from the heavily customized core to the business process redesign around the common core, from the preference for manual human control to the rules based straight through processing and exception handling by the system, for example
• Work with the PMO and external System Integrator to develop program charter, program management plan, standard process, procedures, templates, guidelines, as well as setup tools to manage and deliver the program
• Manage vendors and contractual aspects of the program
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Technology or related field.
• 8 years of successful delivery experience, with at least 5 years in Project Manager role in banking industry
• PMP certification, Agile Certification any certification in Project Management will be an advantage
• Experience with online project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Able to lead, manage vendor, both implementation and system integrator.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Great multi-tasking skill and able to work under pressure.
• Ability to build team cohesiveness, lead, influence and motivate teams in matrix organization to achieve challenging goals and timeline.
• Ability to cope with change, shift gears comfortably, and decide and act appropriately.
• Good command of written and spoken English
