About this position

The Compliance & Legal Specialist is responsible for ensuring the company's adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, managing legal matters, conducting risk assessments, and developing compliance policies and training programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, monitor compliance programs and policies / procedures.
• Carry out research and provide interpretation and advice relating to applicable regulations.
• Lead and manage activity to ensure the Company complies with the Personal Data Protection Act.
• Support audits, investigation, and quality assurance reviews as required.
• Be responsible for all legal matters affecting company.
• Review and negotiate contracts to ensure they are legally sound and protect the company's interests.
• Research laws, regulations, and industry best practices to advise the company.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, industry association(s) and internal / external auditors.
• Identify and assess potential legal and compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and submit required report to BAY and other related parties in timely manner.
• Create related policy and deliver training programs on compliance topics for employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law, Business administration, or other related field.
• More than 5 years of working experiences (Banking or financial services industry is preferable).
• At least 3 year in legal, compliance, or other related fields.
• Well versed and strong in SEC and AML rules and regulations and relevant Thailand laws.
• Analytical/Audit/Law/Compliance background; preferably with accounting / finance / legal designation.
• Fluent in spoken and written Thai language.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills.
• Handle work under pressure and complete task as planned.
• Eager to learn and apply new things into works/tasks.
• Well organized, proactive, can-do attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
