About this position

Product Development Engineer will work in accordance with the project charter (performance, cost, reliability, etc.) and collaborate with cross-functional teams (product team, production team, lab team, etc.) to ensure successful project delivery. The role involves handling various engineering tasks, including structural simulation, design, testing, and certification of new products to meet industry standards and will be responsible for the improvement and optimization of existing products, maintaining certification ensuring they continue to meet customer requirements and performance benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with all stakeholders to review project feasibility.
• Work with Senior Engineer to plan project schedules and define key milestones.
• Conduct structural analysis to ensure the reliability and integrity of fan designs.
• Conduct product performance, reliability testing, ensuring results meet established standards.
• Conduct cost analysis to meet the project target.
• Conduct the product certification processes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Committing to the product plan and project schedule.
• Prepare all necessary design documentation from the prototyping stage through to mass production.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve technical issues related to products.
• Prepare weekly reports on project progress, highlighting potential risks or delays.
• Research and study to continuously improve product design and performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related fields (candidates with specializations in material science, aerodynamics, or structural engineering are preferred).
• Competent knowledge of aerodynamic.
• Competent knowledge of engineering software, e.g. 3D/2D CAD FEA etc.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Proficiency in English is an advantage.
