BPE Project Manager - New Machine Business (India Market)
About this position
Responsibilities
• Direct and coordinate all phases of project management for assigned projects; to perform a variety of project management tasks in the design and planning, procurement, project execution and closeout phases for projects.
• Be responsible for project planning: to analyze and plan project procedures and appointments of technological resources and to be responsible for cost management, change management and resource management of the project.
• Be in charge of risk & opportunity management (avoidance of commercial and technical risks considering future development).
• Be responsible for project documentation: to monitor the achievement of project milestones.
• Coordinate with customers, sales, testing, installation/ service; to provide continuous supervision of the project to meet schedule, quality and budget requirements.
• Coordinate and support interdisciplinary teams (e.g., engineering, design, finance, quality, manufacturing, marketing, purchasing).
• Assume a high reputation when interacting with customers, institutions/ administrations and within the local organization regarding technical and project management competencies.
• Interact and align with the headquarters in all matters related to the assigned project.
• Consult costumers or management in strategic questions and concerning the further development of the respective strategic business unit.
• Be involved and support the sales manager in the proposal phase.
Requirements
• Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management in the packaging and filling industry or related industries, a strong technical background.
• Skills: Negotiation skills, Analytical and organizational skills, General project management skills, Intercultural awareness.
• Comprehensive understanding of the filling and packaging machinery.
• Able to travel across APAC extensively.
