About this position

The Dev Ops Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure, primarily using AWS, while fostering a culture of proactive problem-solving and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure, primarily using AWS.
• Oversee the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using ECS or EKS.
• Fostering a culture of proactive problem-solving and effective communication.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and deploy applications and services, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline and automate the software delivery process.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to maintain optimal operation.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide prompt resolution to production incidents.
• Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance system reliability, scalability, and efficiency.

Requirements

• 3 years of systems administration and configuration experience with 1 years of experience focused on cloud-hosted commercial facing environments.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong background in AWS services.
• Strong expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket pipeline, Jenkins, etc.
• Solid understanding of monitoring tools such as Grafana, AWS Cloudwatch, Google Stackdriver and practices to ensure system reliability.
• Experience with on-call support and handling production incidents effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues under pressure.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact operations.
• Advanced knowledge of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or EKS is a plus.
