About this position

KPMG Thailand is looking for an Actuarial Advisory Manager to join their team and help grow their insurance advisory business line. The role involves leading a team of actuarial specialists, maintaining client relationships, and being a subject matter expert in actuarial practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise actuarial specialist(s) to deliver high quality work within budgeted resources and timelines. Manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently as well as communicate with partner on key issues.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and play a key role in business development. Support partners and directors in business development.
• Share your expertise with your peers and actively coach junior team members. Contribute to the career development of team members.
• Be a subject matter expert in at least one actuarial practice and maintain up-to-date knowledge of actuarial practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of working experience in insurance industry either in life insurer, general insurer or consulting firm.
• Near-qualified or qualified in actuarial professional memberships (IFoA, SOA, IAA, etc.).
• Self-motivation to deliver high-quality work and have a growth mindset.
• Have in-depth knowledge in some of the following areas: actuarial / finance / capital reporting, regulatory reporting, financial modelling (e.g. Prophet), process transformation.
• Strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under resource constrain.
• Strong people/stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage actuarial specialist independently and internal and external stakeholders effectively.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills in English and Thai.
