SCM Manager
About this position
The SCM Manager will oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain operations for the FMCG business, focusing on planning, procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with the company's goals, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Lead demand planning and forecasting efforts, collaborating closely with sales and marketing teams to meet customer demand.
• Build and maintain relationships with OEM and raw material suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring the timely procurement of quality materials.
• Develop risk management strategies to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply base.
• Oversee the logistics and distribution network to ensure timely delivery to customers and optimization of transportation costs.
• Work with logistics partners and internal teams to streamline warehousing and distribution processes.
• Implement and monitor inventory control systems to maintain optimal stock levels, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
• Analyze inventory data to improve turnover rates and reduce obsolescence.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and cost optimization strategies.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field with more than 5 years' of hands-on supply chain management, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Must have hands-on demand planning experience which include strong data analytics skills and being an expert in Advance Excel functions (e.g. INDEX_MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, and array formulas) to analyze and manipulate data; experience in creating dynamic dashboards and visual reports; automating repetitive tasks and processes using Excel macros and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to enhance productivity; and proficient in using data cleansing techniques to ensure data accuracy and integrity, including using tools like Power Query.
• Hands-on experience using SAP will be advantageous.
• Hands-on OEM (Manufacturing Factory) management experience to ensure on-time production and delivery management; 3PL management as well as supply management.
• Hands-on exposure in handling import and export with good understanding of challenges and documentation needed.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, procurement, and demand planning.
• English Communication Skills at Professional Level is a MUST due to needs to liaise with overseas OEM.
• Ability to travel quarterly for stock OPNAME.
