Senior Accountant
About this position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting tasks, focusing on both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), as well as ensuring the overall accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
Responsibilities
• Manage the full-cycle accounts payable & account receivable process, including vendor management, invoice verification, and payment processing.
• Oversee the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and recording payments.
• Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure timely payments and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, including wire transfers and ACH transactions.
• Ensure accurate coding of invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of 1099s and other tax-related documents as required.
• Monitor customer accounts for timely payment and proactively follow up on overdue invoices.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP/IFRS).
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 - 4 years of experience in Accounting including AP & AR.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to communicate in English.
