Accounting Officer (Treasury)
About this position
The Accounting Officer (Treasury) is responsible for monitoring cash balances, preparing cash flow forecasts, processing payments, performing bank reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities
• Assist in monitoring daily cash balances to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
• Prepare and update cash flow forecasts under the supervision of senior team members.
• Support the processing of payments and receipts in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform bank reconciliations to align bank statements with internal accounting records.
• Identify and assist in resolving discrepancies between bank transactions and company records.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation of reconciliation activities.
• Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Assist in the preparation of treasury-related reports for management review.
• Maintain up-to-date records of bank accounts and ensure compliance with company policies.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (recent graduates are welcome).
• Experience in finance, accounting, or treasury is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of financial principles and bank reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle numerical data accurately.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication skills and a willingness to learn.
