About this position

The Sr. Accounting Manager will act as a business partner, providing financial insights and reports to support the business team in achieving their financial targets while managing cost accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• The cost accounting manager needs to work as a business partner by providing monthly reports to the business team and ensure that the latest forecast is as accurate as possible to keep the minimum variances.
• Gain an understanding of each area so as to assess the financial risks and opportunities in order to support the business team to meet their financial targets.
• Prepare, analyze and report monthly and quarterly gross margin analysis by product type, customer type, by region, etc, inventory management report and cost accounting information reports in regards to costs analysis and profitability with timely submission to management team.
• Perform month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze and evaluate on inventory management and costs of goods sold and production.
• Maintain internal control documentation and assist with cycle count, physical inventories and physical variance reconciliation.
• Prepare and review detailed account analysis and reconcile costs of goods sold, inventory, liability and relevant accounts.
• Coordinate with IT department for system issues and concerns, maintenance and development such as production, purchasing, import/export, accounts payable, accounts receivable, import/export IT, receiving, shipping, and others.
• Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules and others.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Master degree in Accounting.
• 15-20 years working experiences in Costing Accounting, ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards.
• Experience in working under manufacturing environment and is in managerial roles at least 10 years.
• Good English communication and analytical skills and ability to work independently.
• Positive attitude and aptitude for change.
• Knowledge and experiences in Movex and M3 systems is advantage.
