Human Resources Development Manager
About this position
The Human Resources Development Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, developing internal policies, and fostering a culture of data privacy within the organization.
Responsibilities
• Own and keep under constant review all the company data protection compliance arrangements to include updating policies and guidance.
• Develop and maintain relevant KF internal data privacy policies.
• Inform and advise superior on the data privacy regulations and its requirements, serving as a subject matter expert and developing and implementing a compliance plan.
• Partner with all key business areas, particularly the IT team to ensure data privacy issues are considered at the outset of new projects.
• Act as assistance on Data Risk Committee in relation to company data privacy issues.
• Monitor the industrial landscape to keep visibility on evolutions, trends, and best practices related to data privacy.
• Partner with internal audit team to ensure the systematic compliance audits are undertaken and that their findings are reported and correction is acted in real time.
• Foster a data protection culture within the company and help to implement essential elements of the data protection (e.g. principle of data processing, data subjects, right, data protection, and data security).
• Advise superior, management and team concerns regarding data protection and privacy management requirements and policies (process and objectives, safeguard measures to mitigate the risks).
• Promote continuous training to ensure all relevant staff has got an awareness of data privacy knowledge and practice, and then proceed to feedback for future concerning.
• Document all decisions taking consistent with opposing DP advice.
• Support and assist superior in the communication and as point of contact for both data subjects and regulatory officer.
• Offer consultation once a data breach or other incident has occurred and must be involved in relevant issues in a timely manner and report directly to superior and management.
• Arrange the related meeting on data protection and information security.
Requirements
• Bachelor Degree in Law.
• Previous experience and expertise in data privacy laws PDPA regulations and practices.
• Understanding of data processing operations, including business applications and data use.
• Understanding of crossover between legal, IT and data security requirements.
• Experience of promoting a data privacy culture of awareness and understanding.
• Experience of developing and assessing privacy policies and controls that minimize risk and ensure compliance.
• Experience of conducting data privacy compliance review and audits.
• Experience of responding to potential privacy incidents, to mitigate risk, determine reporting requirements, and developing corrective action plans when needed.
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience of communicating effectively with the highest levels of management and decision-making individuals within the organization.
• Familiarity with privacy and security risk assessment, best practices and gap analysis.
• Team-player such that focus on the success of the team. Working well both with others, as well as individually, in a multicultural and multidisciplinary context.
