The Accounting Manager (Stock Control) is responsible for overseeing inventory management, ensuring compliance with company standards, and leading the stock control team to optimize stock levels and processes.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement stock control policies and procedures to optimize inventory management.
• Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Analyze stock movement and trends to forecast inventory needs and minimize excess stock.
• Lead and manage the stock control team, providing training and support to ensure high performance.
• Collaborate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to align inventory levels with demand and supply chain requirements.
• Prepare and present reports on inventory performance, including stock turnover rates and discrepancies.
• Identify areas for improvement in stock control processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies related to stock management.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of stock and resolve any issues that arise.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in stock control or inventory management, preferably in a managerial role.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in inventory management software.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
