About this position

The Mechanical Product Engineer will be responsible for identifying product design and assembly issues, providing technical solutions, and supporting various teams in the production process.

Responsibilities

• Identify product design & assembly issues, and provide technical solutions.
• Understand and analyze customer’s design intent and/or identify product design alternatives include design for manufacturing (DFM).
• Support APQP team activities for new production introduction and Transfer of work product (TOW).
• Lead prototype/pilot/PPAP build for new products.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, material and sourcing on mechanical component issues.
• Provide packing design and validation.
• Design and procure tooling & fixture to support production.
• Analyze product failures, identify root cause, and drive technical issues to resolution.
• Resolve technical issues relate to components & product assembly.
• Work with customer/supplier to resolve technical issues related to product design & specification.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics or related fields.
• 2-5 Years experience in Electronic manufacturing.
• Familiar with the use of 2D or 3D CAD modeling.
• Knowledge in plastic injection molding or metal part manufacturing is a plus.
• Good command of both spoken and written in English.
