Team Head of System Development - Regulatory Services System
About this position
Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a team of software developers, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory goals.
• Set performance expectations, conduct reviews, and promote team growth through coaching and skill development.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software solutions for regulatory reporting and other related regulations.
• Collaborate with business analysts and compliance teams to translate regulatory requirements into software features.
• Prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and ensure on-time delivery of regulatory reporting solutions.
• Track and report project progress to senior management and stakeholders.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including compliance, IT, and business units, to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet regulatory needs.
• Lead and manage a team of developers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
• Ensure code quality and best practices are maintained throughout the development process.
Requirements
Education:
• Bachelor degree or higher in a related field. Several years of relevant IT and business/industry work experience required.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory systems, compliance, or a similar field.
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams and projects.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulatory, regulatory reports eg. IFRS9, RDT, Basel is a plus.
• Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience with REST services is a plus.
• Experience with one of the cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP is a big plus.
