About this position

The Sales Planning Analyst is responsible for managing inventory, forecasting demand, processing orders, analyzing performance, and administering dealer incentives to support wholesale vehicle sales.

Responsibilities

• Monitor wholesale vehicle inventory levels and ensure alignment with sales targets.
• Analyse inventory aging and take proactive measures to minimize obsolescence.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to optimize inventory replenishment.
• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for wholesale vehicle sales.
• Utilize historical data, market trends, and industry insights to inform forecasting models.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate demand drivers into forecasts.
• Process wholesale vehicle orders from dealerships and ensure timely fulfillment.
• Manage order allocations based on inventory availability and demand priorities.
• Resolve order discrepancies and address dealer inquiries in a timely manner.
• Track wholesale vehicle sales performance and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Generate reports and/or dashboards to communicate insights and trends to management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Coordinate Dealer Incentives in preparation for payment by liaising with the Finance department on a weekly basis;
• Validate data provided by dealers to ensure it corresponds with information in the SAP & DMS.
• Update the required information into a spreadsheet, manually upload.
• Answer any Regional and Dealer enquiries on Bonus payments as required.

Requirements

• University Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or relevant fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in Inventory/Order Management, sales planning or related field (experience in automotive is a plus).
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Strong business acumen.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines and in a time-demanding environment.
• Ability to deal with complex business and accounting issues.
• Computer Literacy especially in Microsoft Office.
