About this position

The Operations Technician is responsible for operating manufacturing equipment to maintain the highest product quality. This role also involves performing basic maintenance tasks such as cleaning, inspection, and lubrication. Additionally, the job includes conducting changeovers and implementing improvement initiatives. The Technician will collaborate closely with safety, quality, and food safety teams to ensure adherence to safety standards and food safety protocols. Operations Technician will join a high-performing team utilizing cutting-edge technology to manufacture Pringles. They will have ample opportunities for career growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Operating Machine: Set-up and prepare machines to ensure production lines run efficiently with minimal waste
• Defect Handling: Report any observations/defects on equipment from the production floor for follow-up through work orders
• Ensure the produced product meets high-quality standards in terms of chip texture, seasoning application and packing requirement in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and standards operating controls (SOC)
• Draw samples from the lines to do in-process quality checks and record results in logbooks and other data capturing tools
• Conduct product changeovers and cleaning in accordance with Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP)
• Ensure machine performance remains optimal and safe by conducting autonomous maintenance, which includes cleaning, inspection, lubrication (CIL) and operating the equipment according to center line standards
• Continuous Improvement to enhance operational efficiency and safety by implementing loss reduction initiatives undertaken from time to time
• Follow best practice by ensuring strict adherence/compliance to standard operating procedure (SOP), Safety & Quality standards, 5S, HACCP, GMP & Food Safety Policies

Requirements

• High vocational diploma or higher in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronic fields
• Experience of 3-4 years in operating machinery
• Ability to work in rotating shifts of 8 and/or 12 hours
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to interact well with other employees and work overtime, as required from time to time
• Demonstrates enthusiasm for work, a passion for service, and patience in tasks
• Good communication abilities and strong human relations
• Position requires regular attendance in accordance with company policy
• Ability to use digital/smart factory tools, dashboards, etc
• Basic knowledge of computers, MS office applications will be an added advantage
