Financial Controller
About this position
As a Financial Controller, you are responsible to oversee and manage the financial operations of our company, which encompasses retail, e-commerce, and supply chain business units. The Financial Controller will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial information, maintaining compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth and decision-making. Additionally, the controller will conduct feasibility studies for new projects and initiatives to assess their financial viability and alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and present accurate financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.
• Develop, manage, and monitor the company’s budget in collaboration with department heads.
• Conduct variance analysis and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to support strategic planning.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new projects and business initiatives, analyzing financial data, market trends, and operational impacts.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on feasibility analysis to support decision-making processes.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Manage cash flow and working capital, ensuring liquidity for operational needs.
• Develop cash flow forecasting models to optimize financial performance.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Conduct financial analysis to assess the performance of retail, e-commerce, and supply chain units.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and strategic goals.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience as a Financial Controller or Financial Planning & Analysis and 3 years of experience as a manager.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, financial reporting, and compliance regulations.
• Proven experience in conducting feasibility studies and financial analysis for new projects or initiatives.
• Proficient in SAP and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
