About this position

The Offensive Security Engineer - Red Team (Internship) position involves conducting penetration testing and contributing to in-house tool development to enhance cybersecurity measures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments and penetration tests on web applications, network infrastructure, and mobile applications.
• Identify, document, and report vulnerabilities, providing remediation guidance and follow-up.
• Collaborate with team members to simulate real-world attacks, identifying potential security weaknesses.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of cybersecurity tools using TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, and OpenShift Container.
• Collaborate with developers to implement new features, enhance tool functionality, and improve performance.
• Assist in debugging and testing of code, providing suggestions for process optimization.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of penetration testing concepts and methodologies (OWASP, SANS).
• Familiarity with web application, network, and mobile security principles.
• Proficiency or coursework in TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, and containerized environments like OpenShift.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, and mobile security testing tools.
• Understanding of REST APIs, database management, and software development lifecycle.
