Sales Manager
About this position
The position is accountable for proactively soliciting and handling sales opportunities. Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery. Assists in leading all day-to-day activities related to sales with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives. Achieves personal sales goals. In this role, you will play a key part in driving revenue growth by proactively targeting group and catering accounts, fostering strong client relationships, and implementing successful sales strategies.
Responsibilities
Responsible for, but not limited to:
• Target group and catering accounts, markets, or segments with a strong emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation.
• Collaborate with counterparts in group/catering and luxury travel agencies (consortia) to effectively manage business opportunities.
• Identify, qualify, and solicit new group and catering business to achieve both personal and property-specific revenue goals.
• Develop and implement effective sales plans and strategies for luxury travel, corporate, and catering markets.
• Use strong negotiation skills and creative selling techniques to close deals and negotiate contracts successfully.
• Manage complex business accounts with significant revenue potential and high customer expectations.
• Build and strengthen relationships with both existing and new clients to secure future bookings, including activities such as sales calls, client entertainment, FAM trips, and trade shows.
• Develop relationships within key corporate accounts to expand the customer base for corporate FIT (Free Independent Traveler) and group/catering sales opportunities.
• Understand customer needs and recommend the most suitable services and features to meet and exceed expectations, fostering loyalty to both the property and the brand.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare contracts as necessary.
• Manage the operational aspects of booked business (e.g., generate proposals, draft contracts, handle customer correspondence).
• Provide administrative support to the Sales team using all relevant systems.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales, preferably within the travel or hospitality industry.
• Previous experience with luxury travel consortia or travel agencies is highly preferred.
• Experience in luxury hotels or resorts is a plus.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
