About this position

The Distribution Supervisor shall manage, plan and organize the Logistics activities and tasks to achieve the overall objectives related to profitability, competitiveness, customer satisfaction, service and quality. This position will be reporting to Logistics Manager and will be based in Chonburi, Thailand.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and interpreting transportation cost, OTIF Performance, data and information. Propose improvement to warehouse and distribution manager required to ensure optimized efficiency with distribution operations and overall business efficiency and targets.
• Coordinate with Warehouse, CSD, Production to arrange and tracking urgent order. Provide suitable solution for urgent case with reasonable cost.
• Handle with transportation damage, transportation abnormity and complaint.
• Record and provide required data to superior, including extra transportation fee caused by urgent order or any other needs from customer. Arrange and tracking goods return. Coordinate with CSD, Sale or related parties to smooth the return process.
• Truck utilization and optimize transportation cost.
• Providing, training, prepare, implement standardize, work instruction, one point lesson (OPL) for Distribution and Transporters to ensure all safe and comply with HSEQ, transport regulations, safety guideline / compliance. Report any accident/incidents within the standard timeline established. Lead and/participate in any investigations of accidents/incidents and follow up on corrective/preventive actions thereafter.
• Plan and optimize transport routes
• Handle transportation of in- and /or outbound finished goods
• Execute procedures and guidelines in compliance with local laws, regulations, ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO 45001, JOS and Jotun’s HSEQ Management system.
• Executive the shipments from production to the end-user
• Track orders using functional systems (e.g. barcodes and transport management system)
• Monitor and report on transportation costs and other relevant KPIs
• Ensure shipping documents are properly filed
• Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders of vehicles, schedules and completed orders

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of related working experience in similar field.
• High detail as required to work with much paperwork as part of routine
• Possess Strong understanding of INCOTERMS 2010, Import/Export requirements related to Thai regulations; and supply chain lead and processes
• Knowledge and familiar with standard warehousing documents and standards; shipping/logistics documents and procedures
• This position is required a Communicative level of English for international coordination, trainings or meeting.
• Microsoft Office literacy is mandatory.
• Acts on own initiative, makes things happen and accepts responsibility for the results.
• Uses a methodical and systematic approach; plans ahead, defines clear priorities and allocates resources effectively.
• Quickly understands and analyzes complex issues and problems; comes up with sound and rational judgments
• Communicates in a clear, precise manner.
