Senior Project Manager (MEP) - Data Centres
About this position
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, and implement MEP systems for infrastructure fit-out projects, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
• Assist the Project Director in managing the JLL team and providing project management services to the client.
• Oversee the engineering specifications, technical drawings, and construction documents, including schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams, and equipment layouts.
• Evaluate MEP equipment and components, ensuring compatibility with project requirements and optimal performance.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to assess the viability and efficiency of MEP systems, proposing improvements and upgrades when necessary.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, reviewing contractor submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications and electrical codes.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into overall project plans.
• Participate in commissioning activities, performing electrical system tests, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring proper functionality and performance.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to infrastructure fit-out MEP systems, and apply this knowledge to improve design and implementation processes.
Requirements
• Business fluency in written and spoken English and Thai.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in designing and managing MEP systems for Data Centre or critical environment projects.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, codes, standards, and practices for infrastructure fit-out projects.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, Revit).
• Understanding of electrical distribution systems, including medium voltage, low voltage, and emergency backup systems.
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards and regulations, including NFPA, NEC, and local codes.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver projects on schedule.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders.
