About this position

The Data Center Construction Project Manager in Thailand will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety, and health codes, and coordinating with various parties involved in the project.

Responsibilities

• Ensure progress is aligned with the master schedule by coordinating with all parties involved, including our client's contractor and consultant.
• Coordinate with contractors to handle permit applications for the commencement of construction from base-build, fit out until handover to operations.
• Identify and communicate potential delays to the relevant parties.
• Review and monitor the contractor's construction schedule to drive progress.
• Collaborate with our client's project team and contractor on all delivery items.
• Provide construction supervision and advice to proactively address potential project issues or blockers.
• Supervise the project to ensure compliance with building specifications, safety, health, codes, and requirements.
• Maintain proactive communication with our client's project management team and on-site resident engineer for any changes, discrepancies, or non-conformance work.
• Detect construction risks, inspect materials, equipment, labor, and construction documents, and provide guidance on proper construction techniques and non-compliances.
• Monitor RFI/RFA submission responses to ensure there are no scope changes communicated.
• Allocate liability between construction parties for associated construction work risks.
• Keep a project logbook including a risk and issue list.
• Monitor the progress of RFI/RFA to ensure no outstanding issues.
• Review and report on any issues with the contractor manpower plan, including the number of subcontractors and worker competencies.
• Track the progress and implementation of design change notices to construction change directives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field. Preferably civil or structural engineering preferred.
• Strong experience in construction management and project management in the local Thai construction industry.
• Proficiency knowledge in BIM software tools such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM360.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Attention to detail, logical thinking, offering solutions and risk mitigation.
• Self-motivated and proactive in identifying areas for improvement and driving process enhancements.
