About this position

As a Solution Design Engineer specializing in warehouse automation products, you will play a key role in the Sales department by providing technical expertise in the design and implementation of cutting-edge automation solutions. This position requires in-depth knowledge of warehouse automation products, including ASRS (Automatic Storage and Retrieval System), Robot palletizer, Pallet wrapping machine, and conventional storage racking/shelf systems. The Solution Design Engineer will collaborate closely with the sales team to deliver tailored solutions that meet our clients' specific warehouse automation needs.

Responsibilities

• Solution Design: Develop comprehensive warehouse automation solutions based on client requirements. Work closely with the Sales team to create compelling proposals, including detailed technical specifications, project timelines, and cost estimates. Serve as a technical advisor during client meetings, understanding their operational challenges and recommending suitable solutions.
• Project Implementation Leadership: On the winning project, set up project team, defining roles and responsibilities. Develop project timelines and milestones, keeping all stakeholders informed of progress. Lead regular meetings with customers to provide updates and concerns. Oversee the installation and commissioning of projects, troubleshooting issues and ensuring successful project completion.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to solution designs, including drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of direct working experience in warehouse automation products, with a proven track record of successful solution design and implementation.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of warehouse automation such as ASRS, Robot palletizer, Pallet wrapping machine, and storage racking/shelf systems.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions.
