About this position

Responsible for leading the end-to-end process of merchandise buying and planning for imported brands. This role requires strong financial and strategic planning capabilities, including OTB (Open-to-Buy) planning, market analysis, and product selection. Personally travel to source products, ensuring alignment with business goals and consumer demand.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Open-to-Buy plans to ensure optimal stock levels and financial performance.
• Analyze sales trends, consumer behavior, and market opportunities to forecast demand and make informed buying decisions.
• Travel internationally to select and buy products in line with market demand and brand objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the best selection of products and pricing.
• Ensure timely procurement of merchandise and manage vendor agreements and negotiations.
• Oversee stock levels to maintain the right balance between supply and demand, minimizing excess inventory and out-of-stock situations.
• Manage the end-to-end buying process, from product selection and order placement to shipment tracking and product arrival.
• Ensure effective stock rotation and replenishment based on sales trends.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to plan and execute product launches and in-store promotions.
• Align the buying strategy with the broader business goals and seasonal trends.
• Work closely with sales, marketing, and management teams to ensure seamless product launches and campaigns.
• Provide regular reporting and analysis of product performance, sales forecasts, and market trends to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years in a merchandise planning or buying role, preferably within fashion or import brands.
• Strong OTB planning and financial forecasting skills.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Ability to travel internationally for product sourcing.
• Knowledge of market trends and consumer behavior.
• Proficient in English for business communication.
