Branch Merchandise Planning Officer
About this position
The Branch Merchandise Planning Officer is responsible for the timely allocation and replenishment of stock to stores, ensuring efficient stock management to enhance sales performance.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for right and timely allocation & replenishment of stock to stores for both normal and promotional trade activities
• Able to apply logic and understanding of store trading to deliver efficient stock replenishment that will improve full-price sales at stores
• Analyze and recommend stock package for new stores and after new store launch suggest store replenishment factors to support new store performance
• Oversee ordering and arrival of shipments and proactively take action to ensure good stock availability that meet customers demand in a timely manner
• Monitor and track products through depots to ensure stock arrive at their destination
• Manage in-season trading by balancing stock at store level to get the maximum sell-thru through identified transfer stock action as well as react promptly from store feedback
• Work closely with Merchandise planning, Buying & Sourcing team in order to ensure work efficiency
• Proactively identify stock issues and/or opportunities to improve sales performance/inventory liquidity within own category and work with Merchandise planning & Buying to have clear action plan in place
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Statistics or related fields
• At least 1-2 years’ experience in supply chain and inventory management or demand planning. Experience in retail industry would be an advantage
• Strong computer literacy especially Excel skills. Pivot, VLookup
• Commercial acumen, attention to details, logical thinking
• Good leadership skills especially in collaboration, responsiveness, problem solving, and decision making
• Well-organized, strong team player, adaptable to change and have good interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and comprehension skills: confident communicating with people of differing levels of seniority, analytical expertise and understanding of the business
