Senior Lawyer (Experience in Construction Industry)

The Senior Lawyer will be the team lead overseeing all legal aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, handling contract negotiations, and mitigating risks.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage a team of three junior legal professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight.
• Advise on all legal matters related to construction projects, including contract drafting, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
• Ensure company compliance with legal regulations, including zoning, environmental laws, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with project management, procurement, and executive teams to align legal strategy with business objectives.
• Mitigate risks by identifying potential legal issues and developing proactive solutions.
• Liaise with external counsel as needed for specialized legal matters.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Law (a Master's degree or additional certifications are a plus).
• Licensed to practice law.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in construction or real estate is a must.
• Proven experience in team leadership and managing multiple legal cases or projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction regulations, contract law, and dispute resolution.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English (writing and reading); a TOEIC score is a plus.
