Senior Cultural Orientation Trainer (National Position)
About this position
The Senior Cultural Orientation Trainer is responsible for conducting cultural orientation training both in-person and online, hiring and training refugee support staff, and assisting with the development of CO curriculum and materials.
Responsibilities
• Conduct CO training sessions for groups of 25-30 refugees, including classes for adults, children, youth, unaccompanied refugee minors, and families;
• Conduct in-person CO training sessions in Thailand refugee camps, detention centers, protection shelters, including RSC Asia Bangkok office, and international locations outside of Thailand;
• Conduct remote and phone-based CO training sessions for Thailand and regional based applicants;
• Maintain accurate attendance records;
• Monitor, and train refugee support staff who help with interpretation, childcare, cleaning and other services as required;
• Ensure regular and on-going contact with CO camp-based sites including conducting periodic meetings;
• Ensure upkeep and functionality of training materials and resources.
Requirements
• Proven experience in training and facilitation;
• Strong understanding of refugee issues and cultural orientation;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups;
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus;
• Flexibility to travel to various locations as needed.
