About this position

The Deputy Director - Finance provides leadership and management to ensure the financial infrastructure and systems support the strategic vision and mission of the International Rescue Committee's Thailand Country Program. This role involves monitoring financial plans, ensuring compliance with laws and donor requirements, and collaborating with senior management to enhance financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning & Analysis
• Provides financial information to support the Country Director and SMT in making business decisions in line with Country Program, regional, and global strategies
• Provides strategic analysis on the overall financial health of the Country Program to the CD and SMT
• Contributes and provides feedback to the development of Country Program’s Strategic Annual Plan
• Controllership
• Ensures that all in-country practices are in compliance with IRC and donor policies and procedures, lead the roll-out of new/updated global policies and procedures in the country program. As required establishes in-country finance procedures and supporting function to supplement global policies as needed and directs or performs their development, documentation, and implementation.
• Closely monitors all financial activities and keeps the Country Director advised of all situations which have the potential for a negative impact on internal controls or financial performance.
• Manages the finance department.

• Proven experience in financial management and accounting
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Knowledge of compliance with US and local laws and donor requirements
• Experience in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
