Plant Accounting Supervisor (Sikhiu & Kalasin)
About this position
The Plant Accounting Supervisor is responsible for Plant Operations and Financial Reporting, Tax Compliance, Internal Control compliance, Local regulation compliance, Plant Accounting and Plant Operations.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
• Daily transactions – handle, monitor and review day-to-day plant transactions and ensure accuracy and timely processing.
• Month-end closing – lead the closing process to ensure that financial data is prepared timely and accurately within due dates.
• Monthly report’s submission – prepare monthly plant performance report with commentary such as Monthly Manufacturing report and gap analysis vs. planned.
• Support for plant processes’ changes and ensure all controls are in compliance with internal control.
• Account Reconciliations – prepare for monthly account reconciliations to identify for any incorrection from financial statements and reconciled for any finding items and followed up periodically.
• Lead on data collection i.e manufacturing data collection / assist budgeting & forecasting process.
Internal Control compliance:
• Internal control process – ensure the controlling activities are operated effectively in accordance with the company’s internal control manuals.
• Fixed asset – improve internal control and follow up action plan such as fixed assets control i.e annual physical Asset checking, asset disposal and timely asset capitalization.
Local regulation compliance:
• Auditing – support for external and internal audits.
• Support Accounting and Tax Manager for BOI compliance.
Team Management:
• Knowledge transfer – Educate the team for any relevant knowledge and share best practices.
• Support Shared Services’ team on business knowledge and develop efficient working processes.
Requirements
Qualified candidates will have:
• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (or advanced degree) in Accounting or Finance or related
• 3 years experience in manufacturing costing or accounting
• Preferably candidates with experience in people management, either direct or indirect subordinates
• Good communication skills in English
• Able to travel domestically
