About this position

The Agricultural Technology Specialist is responsible for the production of clean waxy tapioca stem materials and large-scale production of clean and high-quality materials to support the growth of waxy root production, including clean stem bank multiplication in Thailand and conducting experimental trials to enhance cassava yield and productivity.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:
• Stem multiplication – Responsible for clean stem nursery and stem bank in multiple locations.
• Sustainable innovations & solution development – adopt agricultural innovations and execute research & demo trials in multiple locations.
• Technical knowledge to use drones for chemical spray for pilot plantation with suitable timeline, limited space, and time constraint and combine agricultural knowledge for better productivity.
• Design pilot plantation and be able to analyze, summarize and produce the report.

Requirements

Qualified candidates will have:
Mandatory requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Agriculture and/or equivalent experience.
• Willing to work in the field with farmers and work independently.
• Hand-on work experience in crop, bio-stimulant, crop protections, fertilizer, crop production in field crops & fruit crops.
• Plant materials/stem multiplication experience.
