About this position

The Plant Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the facility to achieve optimum operating performance consistent with the corporate philosophy, business strategies and operating plans. As a key member of the operations leadership team, you will lead a team to effectively be deployed in a productive, cost effective, safe and empowered work environment to manufacture product of the highest quality.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:
• Ensure full compliance to all regulatory and legal requirements at all times. Be a visible leader in all matters related to compliance.
• Be a visible and active leader in safety and health, ensuring that core programs are fully implemented from management to the shop floor and through to contractors.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts in the area of environmental performance to not only ensure compliance but to meet community expectations.
• Ensure that quality and food safety standards are implemented to meet or exceed customer expectations, making sure to put the customers’ best interest ahead of plant KPI targets when necessary.
• Be a mentor to the plant operations team to ensure a pipeline of talent is in place. This includes actively managing individuals’ development plans.
• Engage with other leaders in the Thailand organisation to ensure the plant manufacturing goals are fully aligned to the business objectives.
• Be an active leader in IPS (Ingredion Performance System) implementation, ensuring resources are available for the team to be successful.

Requirements

The Plant Manager is well-suited for you if you have :
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management with a proved track record of delivering results and developing people.
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering or related discipline. Masters or MBA is a plus.
• Experience working in a food & beverage or chemical manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
• Proficient English communication skills.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and drive organisation agenda, always taking complete ownership of deliverables.
• Demonstrated strong people leadership skills with proven ability to lead and motivate an organisation, while being able to foster positive relationships across all levels in the plant and organisation.
• Proven commitment to the promotion of a safe environment and General Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, production costs and controls and workflow management.
• Demonstrated ability to set and achieve production and project management targets in accordance with quality, cost and time requirements.
• Demonstrated capabilities to run an operating unit, including strong conceptual, planning, negotiating, problem-solving, strategy development and execution skills.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities that exist for step change improvements in the operation of the plant through the internal continuous improvement efforts as well as through communication with other Ingredion sites for best practice implementation.
