Supply planner (Chemical and ingredient)
About this position
Supply planner is responsible Demand forecast and supply planning, inventory management, handle damage claims, monitor and improve 3PL performance, and ensure cost and stock reconciliation with third-party logistics (3PL) providers. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of our supply chain and ensuring accurate, inventory efficiency, and cost-effective inventory management.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement demand and supply planning strategies to meet the company’s operational and financial goals.
• Inventory Management: Ensure inventory accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
• Manage inventory levels to minimize excess and obsolete stock while ensuring product availability.
• Regularly review customer class, product class and updating safety stock levels and other planning parameters according to system requirement.
• Damage Handling: Handle inventory damage claims and non-conformance reports (NCRs) efficiently and Track and document all inventory damage incidents.
• Share damage reports with the commercial team and product managers to facilitate communication with suppliers.
• Running Sales and Operations monthly meeting for relevant Business unit to keep focus on customer demand and delivery.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for inbound and outbound logistics operations and identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance 3PL performance.
• Conduct regular cost and stock reconciliations with 3PL providers to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain processes and efficiency.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Demand & Supply planning with strong experience in inbound logistic management within a chemical distribution company.
• Demonstrate to analyze complex data and proactive in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions related logistics for ingredients and raw materials business would be an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various teams, areas, and levels of organization.
• Effectively communicate in a clear and structure manner.
• Logical thinking with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Abilities to work under pressure and time constraints.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, CRM system, e.g, Salesforce, and ERP system, e.g., JDE.
• Experience with supply chain software, databases, and tools, as well as a proven track record of managing customer satisfaction and service quality.
• Good command of English.
