About this position

Supply chain officer is responsible for a broad range of activities from the initial placement of orders with suppliers to the management of shipping, customs, and logistics, all while coordinating closely with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

Responsibilities

• Taking care of and process necessary documents such as POs, supplier invoices, shipping documents, etc.
• Manage the inbound loads and coordinate with suppliers’ production facilities for accurate arrival times as well as all daily dispatching duties.
• Resolving issues with suppliers, aligned with any service failures that arise.
• Coordinating and maintaining good relationship with overseas and local suppliers.
• Managing inventories, maintain accurate purchase, pricing records of purchases and correct of inventories location in ERP system, NCR and claim process (if have).
• Ensure that all key data are entered into the ERP system on time, up to date, accuracy and preparing timely reports as necessary.
• Regularly review with Business Units to manage ordering, maintain stock-availability and optimize stock level.
• Pro-active communication with related supporting departments to ensure a smooth delivery process and appropriate checks and controls in order processing (i.e. weekly meeting with Business Units, Finance, SCM, HSEQR, etc.)
• Liaise with Business Units to ensure excellent performance and good connection of SCM team.
• Develop and implement process improvements and participate in scheduled meetings as needed to stay abreast of company requirements and opportunities and keep the appropriate all company departments abreast of trends and changes in the logistics industry.
• Support supply chain projects that require additional time to time assignments related to procurement, demand planning, warehouse coordination, etc.
• Other duties as required, or assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in import logistics and procurement with strong experience in importing ingredients and raw materials within a chemical distribution company.
• Demonstrated experience in managing suppliers, customs clearance, and international logistics for ingredients and raw materials in the Food & Nutrition or Industrial would be an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various teams, areas, and levels of organization.
• Effectively communicate in a clear and structure manner.
• Logical thinking with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Abilities to work under pressure and time constraints.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, CRM system, e.g, Salesforce, and ERP system, e.g., JDE.
• Experience with supply chain software, databases, and tools, as well as a proven track record of managing customer satisfaction and service quality.
• Good command of English.
