About this position

The Operation & Facility Team Leader is responsible for managing site facility management services to ensure a sustainable, safe, clean, and functional environment for co-workers, visitors, and customers. This role involves creating and managing operational and budget plans, empowering the facility team, and ensuring compliance with IKEA standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage site facility management services to ensure a sustainable, safe, clean and functional environment for co-workers, visitors and customers of the store. Ensure all facility management services are delivered, and assets and buildings are maintained, in strict adherence with all applicable local regulations
• Create, implement and actively manage annual operational and budget plans to ensure that all aspects of the building and grounds (facilities, building structures, assets and systems) are maintained to agreed standards and within agreed costs and timeframes
• Empower facility team (such as engineering, security and cleaning) by delegating responsibility to them to help them grow and develop according to their individual ability and experience. Actively promote the IKEA social and environmental commitment and work with facility team to understand how, together, we can contribute to sustainability
• Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as they occur. Make sure that all facility works already follow the IKEA Standards Operating Procedure and meets the KPI and in line with the safety risk management
• Ensure all facility management initiatives grow the business and support the sustainability of long-term profitability. Produce and distribute periodic reports on performance of facility management services against operational and budget plans
• Control costs by working in a lean, simple, cost-conscious way using good examples and encouraging facility team and colleagues to discover more effective ways of working
• Manage, follow up and evaluate external service provider performance against contract terms, and provide feedback to Procurement Department on supplier performance. Provide progress reporting on IKEA’s environmental initiatives at the store

Requirements

• Good in Facilities Management (preferred) role with minimum of 3 years experience in a multiservice facilities management organization, preferably in high-volume retail sector
• Demonstrable experienced in managing operational budgets
• Experienced in sustainability and the environment from the perspective of facility management is essential
• Experienced in site-based contract negotiations with suppliers and contractors
• Willing to work in shifting schedule with flexible working hours, including Saturdays, Sunday, Public Holiday
