About this position

The E-commerce Manager at IKEA Indonesia will be responsible for overseeing the sales performance of the eCommerce business, monitoring business performance, recruiting and developing team members, and contributing to the company's digital direction and development.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the sales performance of the eCommerce business within IKEA Indonesia, taking full responsibility of the IKEA Indonesia eCommerce Profit & Loss (P&L)
• Constantly monitor business performance against objectives and agreed goals, and when necessary, adapt and act accordingly to achieve them. Commercially steer the eCommerce business and includes oversight of Commercial activities on digital channels. This includes working closely with digital marketing and influencing the media buying decisions
• Responsible for recruiting and developing members within the eCommerce function. Proactively requesting for and escalating training needs, designing individual development plans for team members and succession planning. Responsible for departmental structure and ensuring it can meet the changing needs of the consumer
• Play a key role in IKEA Indonesia’s Digital direction and development, being a demand bearer of IKEA Indonesia’s digital roadmap. Working with key stakeholders (both locally and regionally) in setting the O2O principles and continuously looking for opportunities to enhance IKEA Indonesia’s digital and eCommerce offerings to meet customer needs
• Ideation and implementation of O2O initiatives, working closely with Service Office and Store functions to deliver an omnichannel customer shopping journey, driving IKEA Indonesia to be more customer-centric and data-driven
• Responsible for physical touchpoints outside of store/service point Prime Market Area (PMA). This includes developing the smaller Central Meeting Point (CMP) for IKEA Indonesia (together with Inter-IKEA systems on a global scale), the strategy on where these CMPs are placed and the day-to-day operations
• A member of IKEA Indonesia’s Country Commercial team. Actively share insights to give input to help define the company's business and commercial directions

Requirements

• Experience in retail and in a senior eCommerce role that demonstrated a proven ability to optimize online sales and profit targets
• Commercially driven and service-minded capability to contribute to the unit with eCommerce expertise
• A proven record of consistently meeting agreed budgets, goals and deadlines and working on plans over a number of years
• Demonstrated ability of having made a difference by positively influencing the business directly with the aid of good collaboration skills
• Sound understanding of digital/technical production logic and requirements
• Strong leadership capabilities including ability to lead peers and stakeholders while communicating in an inspirational way
