About this position

The Country Graphic Design & Communication Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing graphic design concepts that showcase the IKEA visual identity, as well as coaching graphic design leaders in stores and measuring performance to identify improvement areas.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to designing and implementing both physical and digital graphic design concepts that showcase the IKEA visual and verbal identity. Contribute to creating a visually stimulating and engaging retail experience that inspires product discovery and purchase, adds value for customers and triggers their Home Furnishing interest
• Influence and coach graphic design leaders in stores through Matrix relationship to ensure communication needs during the customer experience are met, by providing relevant content and easy to understand formats
• Measure performance of graphic design by conducting functional reviews in order to identify improvement areas, maximize efficiency and effectiveness and support competence development. Act as a member of the HF&RD (Home Furnishing & Retail Design) team and proactively contribute to HF&RD plan/output in order to deliver to the common objectives and goals
• Actively cooperate with all key stakeholders within commercial and maximize impact (for example Digital, CFF (Customer Fulfilment), Communications, Sustainability, BNOF (Business Navigation Operations & Finance), People & Culture)
• Contribute to the integrated multichannel executions/output of the function in order to contribute to the business goal
• Be an active player in driving an open and sharing climate, be a role model of the IKEA values and contribute to the transformation of IKEA. Keep up to date and knowledgeable about home furnishing, communication and retail design trends in order to support the HFRD Manager in facilitating workshops to generate creative directions that inspire and surprise store visitors through the IKEA visual and verbal identity

Requirements

• Formal qualifications in Graphic Design or equivalent with retail and home furnishing experience. Proven of visually expressing a brand identity, customer-focused mind-set
• Min. 7 years of experience in Graphic Design and delivering results, 5 years experienced in leading, inspiring, developing, influencing people & creative processes. Experience in planning, driving output and measuring performance (business)
• Computer proficient with knowledge and experience of using graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) and production tools
• Clear communication and coaching skills, confident in English
• Has problem solving competency and ability to prioritize and organize work and the work of others in order to make the most efficient use of available time and meet agreed goals and deadlines
• Has an ability to set and implement action plans over a number of years, set expectations, provide clear direction and follow up goals
