About this position

The Communication & Interior Design Manager at IKEA Service Point Bali is responsible for contributing to making IKEA the first choice for home furnishing in the local market, leading the store team in range presentation solutions and store communication, and recruiting, developing, and inspiring the store team to grow the business.

Responsibilities

• Contribute for making IKEA the first choice for home furnishing in the local market using the IKEA product range
• Partner with the store manager to stimulate and increase interest in home furnishing for all co-workers in the store
• Secure vitality and seasonality in the store by creating and implementing a store commercial calendar together with the store management team
• Recruit, develop, lead and inspire the store team to strengthen the identity of IKEA home furnishing and people's life at home to grow the business
• Lead the store team in securing relevant and inspiring range presentation solutions, an optimal store layout and effective and efficient store communication that builds the IKEA Brand and distances IKEA retailers from the competition
• Lead and challenge the team to constantly take actions that exploit commercial opportunities both in the short- and long term
• Secure that the store commercial team has the right understanding of store layout, range presentation and store communication thereby contributing to the work method for range presentation

Requirements

• Extensive background in roles such as interior design, graphic design, visual merchandising or store planning. Proven ability to visually express a company’s brand identity. Possesses a keen eye for aesthetics
• Demonstrates clear verbal communication and coaching abilities, particularly in explaining concepts and visual interpretations
• Builds strong relationships based on trust, respect and openness. Initiated and facilitates creative workshops and nurtures a culture that inspires the commercial team
• Proven track record in leader position, understanding home furnishing trends and steering business growth through career
• Experienced in managing, inspiring, leading and developing people and creative processes in a changing environment. Proven customer-focused mindset
• Set and implement action plans, set expectations, provide clear direction and follow up goals. Proven ability to prioritize and organize work in order to make the most efficient use of time available and meet agreed goals and deadlines
• Willing to work on the store (if needed) with shifting schedule, including Saturday, Sunday, Public Holidays and placed in Bali
