About this position

The Sous Chef (Thai Chef) position at InterContinental Koh Samui Resort involves overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring high-quality Thai cuisine is served to guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations.
• Prepare and present high-quality Thai dishes.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create new menu items.
• Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a Thai cuisine setting.
• Strong knowledge of Thai cooking techniques and ingredients.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Passion for food and commitment to quality.
