About this position

This person is responsible for managing and overseeing a team of specialized cleaners who perform high-rise, high level, gondola and abseiling cleaning services. This role emphasizes stringent safety protocols, advanced cleaning techniques, and effective team coordination to deliver high-quality results while ensuring the safety and compliance of all operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of IFS abseiling cleaning professionals.
• Plan and assign tasks to team members, ensuring efficiency and safety in operations.
• Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Develop and enforce comprehensive safety protocols and guidelines for abseiling operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure it is maintained in excellent condition.
• Management of equipment including ropes to ensure it meets industry standards and maximizes safety.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
• Provide clients with detailed service reports, including before-and-after photos and job completion summaries.
• Develop and manage schedules, ensuring timely completion of all projects.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime and operational risks.
• Monitor team performance, providing feedback and implementing improvements as needed.
• Monitor and strict to team about work safety awareness.

Requirements

• Educational Background: A degree or diploma in occupational safety, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in cleaning, high-rise cleaning, abseiling, or similar roles, with a focus on safety and technical expertise.
• Proven track record in team leadership and project management.
• Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, materials, and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) certification or equivalent is mandatory. We would prefer IRATA level 2 or 3.
• First Aid and Safety certifications are highly desirable.
• Primarily outdoors, involving high-rise building operations. Those with any fear of heights should not apply.
• Requires physical fitness and the ability to work in challenging environments.
