Site Engineer
About this position
The Site Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and clients, to ensure the successful execution of construction projects while adhering to safety and quality standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with different teams.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage construction projects at various sites.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Monitor and track project progress, including budget and timeline.
• Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality and resolve any issues or conflicts.
• Collaborate with project team members to develop and implement effective construction strategies.
• Prepare and submit progress reports, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and support to site staff and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs and site photographs.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a site engineer in construction projects
• Proficient in using construction software and tools, such as AutoCAD and Total Station
• Strong knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to effectively coordinate with project teams and stakeholders
