About this position
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to join a growing, dynamic organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the organization, developing and maintaining internal financial controls, and supervising a team of accounting staff. This position requires a high level of accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the business.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee and review the work of accounting staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles and procedures.
2. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures for the organization.
3. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports.
4. Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing accounting systems and procedures.
5. Monitor, analyze, and interpret financial and operating data.
6. Analyze financial data for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
7. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.
8. Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of accounting staff.
9. Review and approve all accounting documents, including invoices, payments, and journal entries.
10. Train and mentor accounting staff in the proper use of accounting systems and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and financial analysis
- Proficient with accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
