About this position

The Construction Director is responsible for overseeing all construction projects within the company. They will be reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and ensuring quality standards are met. The Construction Director will also be responsible for leading and coordinating a team of construction professionals to ensure successful project completion.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Develop and implement construction strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to review project plans, specifications, and drawings, providing expert advice and guidance.
• Monitor and evaluate construction progress, identifying and resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
• Manage and coordinate the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and subcontractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery.
• Lead and supervise a team of construction professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting project status, risks, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and legal, to ensure compliance with financial and legal requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Extensive knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and best practices
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects
