About this position

The Packing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the packing operations within the company. This includes ensuring efficient packing processes, coordinating with other departments to meet production goals, and maintaining quality control standards. The Packing Manager reports directly to the Operations Manager and collaborates closely with the production team to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the packing department to ensure efficient and timely packaging of products.
• Develop and implement packing strategies and procedures to optimize productivity and minimize errors.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as production and logistics, to ensure smooth flow of goods from manufacturing to packaging.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement team to ensure availability of packaging materials.
• Train and supervise packing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to packing team members.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with quality control team to conduct inspections and audits of packed products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Analyze packing processes and identify areas for improvement, implementing changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in packaging technology, recommending and implementing innovative solutions as appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
• Proven experience as a packing manager or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of packing procedures, materials, and equipment
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize packing processes
