The Demand Planner is responsible for developing and executing demand forecasts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate inventory levels, and analyzing market trends to optimize supply chain efficiency. This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and plays a crucial role in ensuring the company meets customer demands while minimizing costs and maximizing profitability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts for assigned products or product categories.
• Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer demand patterns to accurately forecast future demand.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather relevant information and insights for demand planning.
• Monitor and track inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
• Identify and communicate potential demand risks or opportunities to relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct regular demand planning meetings to review forecast accuracy, discuss demand drivers, and align on future demand plans.
• Collaborate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products and optimize supply chain efficiency.
• Continuously improve demand planning processes and tools to enhance forecast accuracy and efficiency.
• Generate and analyze demand planning reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to evaluate forecast accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to make informed demand planning decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
• Proven experience as a demand planner or in a similar role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in using demand planning software and tools
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
