About this position
The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Procurement Manager will develop and implement procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate contracts to optimize the company's purchasing processes and achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement processes.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships with key vendors.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on procurement best practices.
• Manage the procurement team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation, to ensure a high level of productivity and professionalism.
• Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to delivery, to ensure timely and accurate procurement of goods and services.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of procurement activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain a supplier database, including supplier performance evaluations and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely payment processing and budget management.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in procurement to continuously improve procurement processes and strategies.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a procurement manager or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
