About this position

The Industrial Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation systems to optimize industrial processes. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, develop innovative solutions, and ensure seamless integration of automation technologies. This position reports to the Director of Engineering and will play a crucial role in driving efficiency and productivity within the company's industrial operations.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and implementing industrial automation systems and processes.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify automation needs and requirements.
• Conducting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for automation projects.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including system specifications and user manuals.
• Programming and configuring automation equipment, such as PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to automation systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Conducting regular maintenance and calibration of automation equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitoring and analyzing data from automation systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Training and providing technical support to end-users on the operation and maintenance of automation systems.
• Staying updated with the latest advancements in industrial automation technology and recommending innovative solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge and experience in industrial automation systems, including PLC programming, HMI design, and SCADA systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java for automation purposes.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, or Ethernet/IP.
• Ability to design and implement automation solutions, troubleshoot issues, and optimize processes for improved efficiency.
