About this position
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production and high-quality products. The Manufacturing Engineer reports to the Director of Manufacturing Operations.
Responsibilities
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Design and implement manufacturing systems, equipment, and tools to meet production goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis to determine the viability of new manufacturing projects.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality control plans.
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Train and mentor production personnel on manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source and evaluate new materials, components, and technologies.
• Participate in product development and design reviews to provide input on manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques
