About this position

Our client are looking for a Sales Manager to lead and expand our customer base in Oceania, specializing in equipment sales from our comprehensive portfolio. This position allows you to develop tailored solutions for clients while contributing to the company's sales and margin objectives. Based in Melbourne, Australia, you'll collaborate closely with the Sales Director in Jakarta, offering excellent opportunities for professional growth in a vibrant and dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed sales and margin targets for your territory.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Identify and develop new customer accounts in your area.
• Create and nurture networks with customer contacts and stakeholders.
• Establish strategic partnerships with vendors and suppliers.
• Analyze market potential and develop effective sales strategies.
• Conduct needs assessments to provide tailored solutions for customers.
• Negotiate pricing and manage price lists according to company guidelines.
• Maintain an organized and current sales pipeline in the Sales Data Warehouse.
• Manage the Master agreement contract process from start to finish.
• Ensure successful project execution with regular communication to customers.
• Support product development initiatives through the Product Development Plan.
• Represent the company at industry events and engage with relevant organizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent
• Fluency in English mandatory; fluency in French is considered a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products for use in a sales management environment
• Minimum 7 years experience in capital equipment sales and territory/business area management, particularly in the packaging and/or rigid plastic industry
• Established customer base and network within the Beverage, Food, Home & Personal Care sectors
• Significant rigid container equipment, market, and industry knowledge
• Market evaluation and analysis skills; planning skills; ability to develop and present a value proposition
• Sales management experience; excellent negotiation
