Procurement Specialist – Raw Materials

About this position

We are seeking a dynamic Procurement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and managing raw materials, ensuring a seamless and efficient supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement for raw materials such as Films, Resin, Aluminum Foil, Liquids.
• Conduct buying support functions to ensure punctual and smooth flow of materials and supplies at the best TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
• Act as liaison with suppliers on responsible matters.
• Maintain good relationships with major suppliers as well as material clients (R&D etc.).
• Continuously analyze items to effect lower purchase costs.
• Source and develop new qualified sources and/or supplies.
• Prepare a variety of responsible and related purchasing documents.
• Analyze reasonableness and competitiveness of quotations.
• Handle claims to suppliers for quality issues, shortages, and damages of goods.
• Comply with and follow the company’s updated specifications and standards for purchasing reference.
• Control in/out inter-department documents as well as maintain filing of documents in good order.
• Responsible for collecting data upon regional and global requirements.
• Responsible for collecting data for local management requirements, such as KPI, analysis reports, etc.
• Closely work with R&D or cross-functional teams on RM Development to achieve target timelines and savings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
