Quality Engineer
About this position
The Quality Engineer is responsible for overseeing quality conditions on the production line, investigating quality issues, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The role involves continuous improvement of processes and leading quality audits.
Responsibilities
• Presiding over the handling and risk assessment of abnormal quality conditions on the production line.
• Responsible for the investigation and tracking of the quality problems on client side, and promote the improvement.
• Responsible for supervising the product process quality, follow up daily IPQC inspection results, and confirm the rectification of responsible department.
• Responsible for confirmation of OQC abnormality, and follow up the abnormal response and improve the closed loop.
• Responsible for participating in product review and approval of production line documents, and assessing potential quality risks.
• Ability to use scientific statistical methods to analyze and improve process capabilities (such as SPC, CPK, FEMA, etc.).
• Responsible for the daily management of production line ESD, and promote the improvement of production line ESD environment.
• Responsible for factory product certification and quality system audits.
• Responsible for following up on quality issues during mass production, including determining the responsibility for the issues, tracking progress, assessing risks, and confirming the closure status. For major issues, a special task force will be organized to drive resolution.
• Customer complaint handling: using quality tools such as 8D and 5WHY to drive relevant departments to quickly identify and resolve customer issues, and coordinating internal improvements, material handling, effectiveness tracking, and corrective actions.
• Continuous improvement of process quality issues.
• Lead product audits and process audits.
• Development and implementation of the annual quality improvement plan.
• Supervision, review, and effectiveness tracking of changes (materials, processes, personnel, etc.), including output of results from small batch trial verification.
• Guide quality technicians to carry out specific tasks according to set goals, continuously improving the team's work efficiency and capabilities.
Requirements
• Bachelor degree or above.
• Have working experience in electronic product manufacturing factory, optoelectronic products are preferred.
• Ability to work in an English-speaking environment. Chinese languages is preferred.
• Familiar with common quality management tools.
• Familiar with ISO9001 quality management system. Relevant system work experience is preferred.
• Familiar with ESD certification system is preferred.
• Over 5 years of experience in quality management within the automotive industry, with at least 3 years of experience in quality planning for new project development.
• Familiar with electronic and mechanical product processes, and well-versed in PCBA and final assembly production processes.
• At least 5 years of team management experience, with the ability to effectively handle internal team matters.
• Familiar with the project development requirements of OEM customers, and able to break down customer requirements into specific project development activities.
• Familiar with quality planning, quality control, and quality improvement requirements for automotive electronics and mechanical products.
• Familiar with the IATF 16949 system.
